Martha manages GO Boulder, the city of Boulder's innovative effort to encourage transportation choices such as walking, biking and riding the bus. Previously, she spent two and a half years in Washington DC, leading the bicycle community's successful campaign to include Safe Routes to School and funding for trails and pathways in the federal transportation bill. She was named "Woman of the year" in 2004 by the bicycle industry for her efforts. She spent seven years as the Executive Director of Bicycle Colorado. Martha and husband John Waitman live in Boulder with their twins, Sophia and Lucas. |
