"Walking is man's best medicine."

Hippocrates

Walking - Burns almost as many calories as jogging - Eases back pain - Slims your waist - Lowers blood pressure - Reduces levels of bad cholesterol - Reduces risk of heart attack - Enhances stamina & energy - Lessens tension & anxiety - Improves muscle tone - Easy on your joints - Reduces appetite - Increases aerobic capacity - Can be done in short bouts - Needs no special clothing - Can be done when you're traveling - It's free!

We Are All Pedestrians!

We usually don't give much thought to walking - we just do it. Sometimes we walk for transportation or exercise, other times to relax and unwind. Walking can be difficult when sidewalks and trails are broken or nonexistent, or traffic conditions put us at risk. Other times we're simply lazy and put off exercising until tomorrow.

Colorado Walks can help! Our team of professionals is dedicated to making Colorado communities walkable for people of all ages and abilities, and our walking programs and events will help you stay energized and motivated to walk.

We invite you to join Colorado Walks today and help make pedestrians a priority in your neighborhood and throughout Colorado! Help us make Colorado the premier state for walking, building healthy communities, and active living.
